Basil, a MC crop, is a special crop that uses Meteor Credits to plant. This means it will never wither. This crop is unlocked at any level, and costs 1 MC per plant. Each plot that is seeded gives 2 xp, and it takes 30 minutes to mature. Upon harvest, it gives 2 xp and 3 Basil. Each Basil is worth 7 c, making the average harvest value 21 c. This crop can be upgraded to the first star after harvesting 249 plots, upgraded to the second star after harvesting 747 plots, and upgraded to the third star after harvesting ? plots. The coin bonus for each excellent plot harvested is an additional 25 c. The description reads "This fast-growing crop never withers and gives double XP points!".

Basil was removed from the shop on March 1, 2011 after much negative feedback from players. Meteor Games decided that they will not release any more crops that can only be purchased with MC.
