Crop Reviving Issues
Status: Pending.
Description: Players attempting to revive their neighbors' crops, even when they have sufficient Tiki Power to do so, will find they cannot do it. It does not seem to affect all neighbors or all players however.
No Pop-up
Status: FIXED
Description: Players clicking on posts from their friends that give coins, experience or an adoptable animal will not receive a pop-up when the load the game. The coins, experience and animals still are credited correctly however, so this seems to only be a display issue. (Keep in mind that adoptable animals may have been adopted by another player before you, so you may not get the animal despite the fact you clicked it.)
Walk Like an Egyptian
Our islands seem to be drifting towards the Nile and there are pyramids on the horizon! So grab your Egyptian threads and do the sand dance all the way to the Island Shop.

Island Confusion
Status: Pending
Description: Players will find upon visiting a neighbor that their own island is confused with one of a neighbor's such that they cannot visit the neighbor's island and are told that their island is their neighbor's.
What to do: Players have nothing to worry about since this does not seem to affect the neighbor - they still have their island completely intact. It just means you can't steal from that one neighbor.

Habitual Spinner not counting
Status: Pending
Description: Players may find that they have spun the Tiki Wheel more times that the trophy actually records.
What to do: DO NOT contact support about this, they cannot fix trophies. All players affected will just have to wait for the bug to be fixed.
Tiki Wheel bonus multiplier stuck on 1
Status: FIXED. Old spins do not seem to count however, but new ones are being recorded correctly.
Description: Players who have spun the wheel for more consecutive days than just one will notice that the bonus multiplier is still stuck on 1.

Tiki Wheel won't spin
Status: Pending.
Description: Players will click the large red button and find the wheel won't spin. No worries! The wheel will be around for much longer than the 7 days needed to obtain the Habitual Spinner trophy, so don't panic.

Supporting Island Paradise
Status: FIXED
Description: Player's clicking on a friend's post will find that they are directed to the game and the pop-up will say "Thank you for supporting Island Paradise! You earned 400 coins and unlocked Soybeans in the shop.." rather than what it is supposed to say. This can occur even when you have already unlocked Soybeans and the coins may or may not stick.
Charging for Saving
Status: Pending.
Description: Players will find they are charged 1 to 3 coins each time the game saves when they go fishing.
What to do: Don't fish, that is the simplest way not to lose coins due to this glitch. Or else, if you feel you have lost a significant number of coins, file a ticket with Support for reimbursement. Otherwise, don't. support is already several weeks backlogged.
Protected Chickens
Status: Pending.
Description: Players who have Chickens on their islands will find that they are protected, even without the Chicken Coop on their islands.
Tree Gro/Animal Feed
Status: Pending
Description: Newly planted trees or newly placed animals will revert to saplings and babies if the boost is used on them.
Excellent Crop Counters
Status: Pending
Description: Players can harvest crops and find that the counters do not register them.
What to do: Support cannot fix this, so players can either choose to continue planting more of the same crop, or move on to other crops.
Barn Animals Disappearing
Status: Pending.
Description: Animals placed into barn will "disappear".
What to do: Refreshing and rechecking the barn will show that the animals are there.
Missing Crops
Status: Pending.
Update: Two fixes have been synced on Thursday, May 20th. It is too early at this stage to tell if these fixes have completely eliminated the problem.
Description: Planted crops will disappear even after saving.
What to do: There is no fix, but if you have lost coins, you can file with Support for reimbursement. Some players have found that using a Mega or a Tiki seeder decreased the frequency of disappearing crops, while others will find the opposite is true. Yet others will seed a few plots, save, refresh a few times, then continue the cycle to minimize losses.
Frozen Neighbar
Status: FIXED.
Description: Neighbors' levels and experience will remain "frozen" even though they continue to move up.
Turkish
Status: Fixed.
Description: Players with the Turkish language setting will not be able to play.
What to do: There is no fix, but they can still play by going here: http://apps.facebook.com/myownisland/gift/send_index and changing the language setting from Turkish to English.
Lost Gifts
Status: Pending.
Update: A fix was put out, so some problems may have been decreased, but the problem is not altogether fixed.
Description: Players may find large numbers of gifts lost. There is no fix for this, nor will Support reimburse lost gifts because they did not register correctly with server, so they cannot check how much you may or may not have lost.
Disappearing Animals
Status: Pending.
Description: By clicking very fast upon an animal, players can make it disappear. Waiting a short amount of time or reloading the game will make them come back, but it is still recommended players not do this in case their animals disappear for good.
Fishing problems
Status: Pending.
Update: Players who experienced the glitch after upgrading should have it fixed after one round of faulty fishing. The other fishing issues are not yet resolved.
Description: Players may find that after casting their nets, the fishing timer continually resets and they are unable to harvest or players may also experience their Fish Schools continually disappearing.
What to do: Get yourself a Seagull. They'll provide the mackerel needed for various recipes.
Island Name
Status: FIXED.
Description: Customized island names may continually revert back to "My Island".
Tiki Power
Status: Pending.
Description: Players may find that when they revive neighbor's dead crops they gain rather than lose Tiki Power.

Project Ideas
Quite a while ago now, it was suggested that decorations have an additional category, the "Animated Decorations". This would allow readers to quickly pick out what decorations were animated, and which ones weren't. I'll put this out on the consideration table again.
As for the glitches and peeks page, I was thinking to split it into two. The peeks page would be named "Sneak Previews", same as one of the Island Paradise photo albums. The glitches would be named "Bugs". The split would allow for a more efficient means of cataloging glitches, as I intend to use a format similar to the one used on the news pages, with blog posts.
I want feedback! Leave a comment below about what you think. Good or bad, some improvements that could be made…

Where Is Support Now?

I just wanted to update you all that support times are still varying and can be lengthy but support is caught up with all tickets sent in March. So if you sent in a ticket in March and have not received a response then our support team did not receive it or it was received in error. I believe the longest wait time right now is 12 days and those tickets were received on April 1. If you sent in a ticket in April, it may still be pending in our system.

New News Layout
As you may have noticed, the wiki's style of displaying the news on the news page has changed, and changed dramatically. I hope you like it, since this method makes it significantly easier to post news.
In other news relating to the wiki, there has been the addition of the "Editor's Tools" to My Home just below the Community Corner. I'd like to know what you think of it.

Remodel your barn!
Want more animals on your island? Collect all the building materials from your friends to upgrade your barn. Now you can share the love with your pet dog, cat, rabbit and kangaroo by brushing them. They may even learn a new trick or two. Check out the new fertilizer, Tree-Gro, and all the items excavated from the ruins of Ancient Greece, now available in the shop.

Patch Notes for April 2, 2010
Happy Easter everyone!
We added an Easter Egg hunt to the game!
- Users will have to collect 8 eggs of every color to complete the hunt and earn the Eggs-ellent trophy and a very special gift. Also, collecting 8 of a color will give the user a special reward.
After moving the basket to their island, and clicking the basket, a menu will pop up to display how many eggs the user has collected. They must gather 8 eggs of each color to unlock exclusive, Easter prizes. In order to collect eggs, the user must receive them as gifts from their friends/neighbors. Once received, they will need to 'use' the item in their gift inbox to move it to their collection. After gathering 8 of each color, a 'Redeem' button will appear, which will give the player…

Is Island Paradise faster for you? (from the Meteor Team)
Hi there,
So once again huge apologies for the past week. We've had to do a lot of crazy stuff to fix our network. There's been lots of late nights and coffee consumed to try and rewire our datacentre to make Island Paradise super fast.
We finally got everything working Saturday evening. So hopefully the game's now really playable and there are no more chicken errors or spiralling suns that won't go away.
It's been a real challenge trying to scale up our hardware to match the growth of Island Paradise but I think we've got a lot of room to grow now. There are probably going to be small glitches here and there but hopefully nothing on the scale of the past week.

Echo's Update for March 26
Hello everyone and happy Friday.
We are fully aware that things are not running smoothly for everyone right now and that many of you are still waiting on reimbursement. Your frustrations are resonating in the office and we're working as fast as we can. Our devs have smoke rising from their keyboards, our admins are wrestling server gremlins and our support team is answering tickets in record numbers.
