Potatoes were introduced to the game on October 14, 2010. This crop is unlocked at level 5, and costs 23 c per plant. Each plot that is seeded gives 2 xp, and it takes 30 minutes to mature. Upon harvest, it gives 2 xp and 6 Potatoes. Each Potato is worth 6 c, making the average harvest value 36 c. This crop can be upgraded to the first star after harvesting 116 plots, upgraded to the second star after harvesting 350 plots, and upgraded to the third star after harvesting 700 plots. The coin bonus for each excellent plot harvested is an additional 15 c. The description reads "What a versatile vegetable!".
