Yucca was introduced to the game on August 18, 2011. The Yucca requires you first to obtain a cutting from a friend's post on their home page, similar to the process of Adoption. After obtaining the cutting, Yucca will appear and be unlocked in the shop and you will be able to purchase seeds to plant Yucca. Each plot that is seeded gives 2 xp, and it takes 6 hours to mature. Upon harvest, it gives 2 xp and 3 Yucca. Each Yucca is worth 26 c, making the average harvest value 78 c. This crop can be upgraded to the first star after harvesting 166 plots, upgraded to the second star after harvesting 500 plots, and upgraded to the third star after harvesting 1000 plots. The coin bonus for each excellent plot harvested is an additional 72 c. The description reads "Harvest yucca root from this handy clipping"

Yucca can not be used to make any Recipes, Tiki Drinks, or Designs at this time.
How to get one[]
The Yucca can be unlocked from your neighbor's live feed. Keep in mind that if you have blocked Island Paradise from your feed, you will not see any of these posts! You will have to unblock your feed.
To obtain one, be the first person to click the "Take the Yucca clipping" button in the bottom corner of the post. Having a large quantity of active neighbors will increase chances of obtaining one, although being fast is also important. Some neighbors will notify through status change or the Facebook chat that they are posting the Yucca before posting.
